Volunteering is a great way to meet other Deer Run Elementary families and contribute to the enrichment of our students and the community.
Don’t have much time to spare? Here are some volunteer opportunities with 1–2 1/2 hour shifts.
Country Fair: This is the school’s annual carnival to be held on the evening of Friday, April 20. Volunteers are needed to set up, run games and activities, and clean up on the evening of the event. Volunteers are also needed to help sell raffle tickets in the cafeteria at lunch during the week of the Country Fair. Sign up here
Label Drives: Help count labels for the Box Tops for Education and Tyson Project A+ programs during October and May. This can be done any time from your own home. Sign up here
SuperGames: Help run games during our end of year field day. This event takes place on Thursday, May 24. Morning and afternoon shifts are available. Sign up here
Have a few more hours to give? Great! Here are a few volunteer opportunities you might find suitable for your schedule – around 5-10 hours.
Innovation Grants and Scholarships: Help review teacher grant requests for programs, projects and materials that benefit our students. This review takes place in November. Also help select a recipient for the DRE Alumni Scholarship during May. Sign up here
